Was ist ein IEC 60601-1-11-Netzteil für die Medizintechnik im Hausgebrauch?

Die FDA definiert ein Medizinprodukt für den Hausgebrauch als ein Gerät für Benutzer in einer nichtklinischen oder vorübergehenden Umgebung, das teilweise oder vollständig vom Benutzer verwaltet wird. Es erfordert eine angemessene Kennzeichnung für den Benutzer. Außerdem ist gegebenenfalls eine Einweisung des Benutzers durch medizinisches Fachpersonal notwendig, um eine sichere und effektive Nutzung sicherzustellen. Dies umfasst permanent und vorübergehend implantierte Geräte und alle Arten von Geräten, die zur Genesung oder Rehabilitation einer Person eingesetzt werden können. IEC 60601-1-11 ist die aktuelle Version der Basisnorm IEC 60601-1, die sich auf die grundlegende Sicherheit und die wesentlichen Leistungsmerkmale medizinischer elektrischer Geräte in Wohnbereichen bezieht. Mit Wirkung zum 30. Juni 2013 in der Europäischen Union und zum 31. Dezember 2013 in den USA unterscheidet sich der neue Standard in mehreren wesentlichen Punkten von den vorherigen Ausgaben. Der Standard setzt jetzt eine Zuordnung der medizinischen Geräten zu der Klasse II, einen erhöhten Schutz vor Eindringen (IP-Schutzart) und Systeme für den Heimgebrauch voraus. Der Begriff des Wohnbereiches bezieht nun auch europäische Pflegeheime mit ein. Ein IEC 60601-1-11-Netzteil für die Medizintechnik im Hausgebrauch ist ein AC/DC-Wandler, der den in IEC 60601-1-11 festgelegten Standards entspricht. Abgesehen von den grundlegenden Anforderungen an medizinische Netzteile, wie eine erhöhte dielektrische Spannungsfestigkeit und ein geringer Ableitstrom, müssen die Netzteile für die häusliche Pflege auch der Klasse II zugeordnet sein und mindestens der Schutzart IP21 entsprechen. IEC 60601-1-11 ist auch in CB, UL und anderen Produktprüfberichten aufgeführt.
